What is it?

Telehealth is the use of technology that enables remote healthcare. Basically it makes it possible for practitioners to treat patients by using a computer or smartphone.

What happens when you get treatment?

Telehealth is similar to a face to face appointment, conducted over the telephone or using video chat. It’s easy to use – if you have ever used Skype, Facetime, WhatsApp or Messenger video then you will be able to do this.

Why are we different?

Our practitioners are both holistic (focused on your whole body, not just your symptoms) and integrated (they work as a team where advantageous) in their treatment approach.

What are the benefits?

Telehealth is a good solution to support continuity of care when face to face appointments are not appropriate or convenient.

  • Just as effective as face-to-face visits - For many disciplines, Telehealth has been shown to be just as effective as face-to-face care. Information about your condition can still be gained through discussion and observation.
  • Easy to Use – use your phone or laptop – follow the link provided to you.
  • Keeps you safe – social distancing is important especially for those that are unwell or have compromised immune systems in the current climate
  • Convenient/Saves time – no travel; can be done in the comfort of your own home
 

What equipment do I need?

  • Phone or laptop (can use a computer if you have a camera/microphone)
  • Appropriate space – private if required for your discussion
 

How do I organise a Telehealth appointment?

  • Simply call our friendly reception team on 3249 5333 and request a telehealth session. 
 

Does my practitioner do Telehealth?

Our practitioners who are available for Telehealth appointments currently are:

  • Doctors – phone consults
  • Psychologists - video or phone consults
  • Speech Therapists - video or phone consults

Our consultation fees will now be the same for either face-to-face or Telehealth appointments.
