Alexandra is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist who is passionate about helping children build the communication skills they need to connect, learn and be understood. She has a special interest in speech sound and clarity difficulties, language development (both understanding and using language), and social communication, including play skills, making friends and developing meaningful connections. She takes a warm, kind and child-led approach to therapy, working closely with families and schools to create fun, engaging sessions that children genuinely enjoy. Believing that therapy should never feel like a chore, she tailors each session to the individual child while celebrating their unique communication style and building confidence in everyday life.
Inspired by both personal experiences and volunteering, Alexandra was drawn to speech pathology after seeing firsthand how profoundly communication shapes a person's confidence, relationships and ability to participate in the world around them. She is passionate about supporting children in ways that honour who they are, rather than trying to change them. One of the most rewarding moments in her work is hearing a child say a word clearly for the very first time and seeing their face light up because someone finally understood them. She treasures the genuine relationships she builds with children and their families and loves witnessing the ripple effect that improved communication has across every aspect of a child's life. Alexandra’s clinical interests are speech sound and clarity difficulties, language development (understanding and using language), social communication, play skills and making friends.
