Luke Carter

BSocSc(Psych)(Hons)

Luke is a compassionate and solutions-focused psychologist who works collaboratively with clients to support meaningful and lasting change. He has a particular interest in trauma and stress-related disorders, mood disorders, and men’s mental health, and is known for creating a calm, supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood.  Luke takes a practical, client-centred approach, meeting individuals where they are in their mental health journey. He values genuine, authentic connection and finds great reward in those “aha” moments when clients gain clarity, insight, and a renewed sense of calm and direction.

Before becoming a psychologist, Luke worked in the fitness industry, where his interest in understanding motivation, stress, and behaviour first developed. This experience has helped shaped his integrated approach to care, recognising the connection between mental and physical wellbeing.  Luke has completed additional training in Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and complex trauma. He enjoys working with a range of presentations, including stress, anxiety, depression, and anger management.
