Taku is a free-spirited Japanese American who came to Australia to complete his Doctorate of Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne in 2021. He has had the pleasure of working with a diverse patient population across the lifespan, from children with intellectual disabilities to seniors and patients from varied cultural backgrounds. Taku’s practice of judo and freediving deepen his appreciation of the mind-body connection and the power of the brain to treat pain.
Outside of work Taku enjoys immersing himself in nature through activities such as hiking, cycling, and freediving. He is also always on the lookout for restaurants with tasty plant-based foods and recipes. With a passion for manual therapy, a holistic view of health, and an analytical approach to exercise, Taku strives for effective treatments and lasting outcomes.
