Coronavirus Update

May 21, 2020
Through the Covid-19 period, some of our practitioner team moved to offer telehealth and telephone appointments.  This has been in place for our GP’s, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Dietitians and Physiotherapists.  For a period of time our Remedial Massage Therapists were also restricted from practicing.  I am pleased to say, as restrictions have lifted, most of our team have returned to face-to-face consultations, and our Remedial Massage Team is back on deck!
Certainly, if patients would still prefer to utilise a telephone or telehealth appointment, we are more than happy to facilitate that for you.  Our GP’s are still offering telephone appointments as their preference, however will see patients face-to-face should that be required.
In order to ensure our practice remains a clean and safe place to attend, we are still embarking on the following initiatives:
  • Contacting every patient every day to ask if they have cold & flu symptoms.  If you do have symptoms, we can arrange a telephone consultation with one of our GP’s.  For Allied Health appointments, we can arrange telehealth if appropriate, or defer your appointment until you are symptom free.
  • Increased cleaning measures to wipe down waiting room and consultation room chairs, door handles, and railings.
  • Toys and magazines have unfortunately been removed from the waiting room.  We have replaced them with some other activities for the children’s waiting space which are non-tactile 😉
  • Hand sanitiser is available at both reception areas and outside the practice doors for your use prior and after your consultation.
  • Tape on the floor at reception to promote social distancing at our reception desk.
  • Spreading chairs in our waiting room to ensure social distancing is maintained in the waiting area.
  • Signs in wet areas to encourage hand washing (and putting toilet lids down when flushing in the toilets).
We ask patients to assist us in keeping our practice safe by remaining vigilant with hand washing prior to their appointment, and also following social distancing guidelines with others in the practice. If you have any concerns about Coronavirus, or your own health, we encourage you to discuss this with our reception team, or your practitioner so that we can assist you when you need.  Our Health Concierge, Shirelle, is also available should you wish to discuss your concerns.
