Joanne Slocombe

MOccThySt; BSc(Anatomy)

Joanne’s passion to help children achieve their full potential made becoming an Occupational Therapist an obvious choice.  In particular Joanne gets excited about what holistic and integrated health care can achieve for so many of her patients who otherwise would make only marginal improvement.

Joanne aims to build a connection with clients and colleagues, and loves to seize opportunities to work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients and their families. Her special interests include School Functioning, Sensory Processing Challenges, Toileting, Fine Motor Difficulties, and integrating therapy into the daily routine.

Joanne understands that enabling a child’s participation is so powerful and can improve the child's relationships with their family, teachers and peers. A child who is given the skills to be more independent at home and in the classroom, is given an opportunity to learn and make massive improvements in their lives.
