Ashley always wanted a career in Health and felt Occupational Therapy really aligned with her desire to support people, empower them and make a positive impact on their lives. She thrives on being able to help her clients participate in activities they thought were too challenging. When working with children, Ashley loves seeing families have better quality time together and leave parents feeling more confident about the future.
On seeing how much joy her pet Labrador (Levi ) brought to clients, she decided to pursue Animal Assisted Therapy which she now uses in some sessions at our clinic. Levi transforms the therapy room to feel less ‘clinical’, helping everyone to feel more comfortable, knowing best when to be placid or energetic. Some of Ashley’s special interests include Emotional Regulation, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Delay.
