If urgent medical attention is required as a result of a serious accident or because of sudden chest pain, severe shortness of breath, profuse bleeding, unconsciousness (or such) phone 000 for immediate ambulance assistance.

PREVENTATIVE CARE
Our practice is committed to preventative care.  We may issue you with reminder notices from time to time offering preventative health services appropriate to your care.  If you do not wish to receive this service, please inform reception.

CONSULTATION COSTS
To allow for quality time that is not pressured or rushed, this practice privately bills.  We do not bulk-bill, however we do charge a concession rate for Pensioners and Health Care Card holders. Veteran Affairs cardholders are billed directly to The Department of Veteran Affairs.  Please ask the receptionist for full fee details.

AFTER HOURS
We provide After Hours Care for our patients through Family Care Medical Services (FCMS) Ph 3831 9999.  This is a professional organisation of rostered doctors that cover the after hours care for this Practice.  Please refer to www.familycare.com.au for full details of FCMS fees and membership.

PHONING THE DOCTOR
If you feel it is urgent to speak to the doctor, please explain the situation to the receptionist, and you will be put through to the nurse on duty to assess. If doctors are unable to take your call immediately, they will return your call as soon as practical.

REFERRALS
If you require a specialist referral, you will need to see your doctor.  Please give details to the receptionist.
